Christmas crib' 2015
Christmas Message: Jesus Christ is the Love that unites hearts and brings peace in the family and in the whole wide world-in HIM alone, we are reconciled with each other and with God.
1. In the Crib, we see man and woman with human weaknesses- broken and fragmented by sin and hardships of life. Christ restores them to peace. Christ is the Peace in the family; in the community; in the nation and in the whole wide world.
2. The stump symbolizes the ' root of Jesse '- Jesus Christ, born of the stock of Jesse- in whom the nations will put their hope.
3. The green heart symbolizes the heart of Jesus Christ- *green wood, being symbolic of Jesus Christ. [Luke 23:31]
4. The vine- Jesus Christ, the true vine. The shoots sprouting from HIS lively and life giving Sacred heart symbolize Grace.
5. The entwining shoots around man and woman symbolize- We grow in HIS grace- we are nourished by HIS Grace- our peace is restored in HIS Grace.
6. The green cross (*green wood) symbolize the innocence of Jesus. Jesus Christ came into the world for our salvation. It is in HIM alone, we find Peace and are reconciled with God.
7. The red spot in the centre of the cross symbolize His death and suffering, for our salvation.
8. The yellow star symbolize the Glory of God- His Divinity.
9. The green color is symbolic of something that is alive; something that is fresh; something that is lively; something that is growing. Jesus Christ is the freshness and liveliness of our life. HE is the living water, the stream near whom we should all plant our life- that our souls be nourished by HIS Love and HIS Grace.
* For if this is what is done to green wood, what will be done when the wood is dry?’ [Luke 23:31]

Christmas crib' 2014
I have created this Christmas Crib on the theme: " I am the living bread of Life ".
The Joy of the Birth of Christ is always accompanied by the Cross of Salvation.
Green Star : Jesus' birth is heralded by the star of Bethlehem. Jesus Christ comes into this world as the King of Peace.I have shown the star in green color, because of Jesus' reference to the green wood - Luke 23:31 " For if this is what is done to green wood, what will be done when the wood is dry?"
Furthermore, green is symbolic of something that is alive;something that is refreshing. Jesus Christ refreshes our Life with HIS Faithful Love.
Triangle : The white triangle formed inside the star is symbolic of the Holy Trinity. Lord Jesus is the part of the Holy Trinity and Trinity Himself.
Broken bread,Heart and the Cross : Jesus Christ came into this world as the living bread of life- to give life to the world.HE came to give HIS Love to the world- to teach the world, to love God and to love one's neighbor.HE broke this bread with love for our salvation, so that sins of many be forgiven.HE came to save the world through HIS Love. HE reconciles us to God, through HIS love and though HIS Cross.
sprouts on the bread : The living bread is alive. It gives life to our mortal bodies. The freshly green twigs sprouting from the heart indicates the freshness and Joy which Christ brings to our life. The Love of Christ invigorates our life. It helps us to grow in union with God.
Yellow Cross : symbolic of Glory. The cross of suffering eventually brings us to Glory- in God.
P.S. In this crib, I have tried to show the perspective of Bethlehem's stable. Though the space inside the star is little, it accommodates them all- symbolic of the poverty of Christ.
Merry Christmas !!!
and a Blessed New Year 2015 !!!

Christmas crib' 2013
I have created this Christmas Crib on the theme: "I am the way, the truth and the Life."
Mountain: The Mountain symbolizes the way. The way is of Love;of humility;of poverty;of faith;of holiness;of simplicity and of perfection. The white color of the mountain symbolizes the purity of spiritual life. Everyone has to traverse this way and complete his journey of faith during the course of his earthly life.
Steps: The steps have a scripture passage written on top of it.The word of God guides our path and helps us to reach the ultimate goal of life-Eternal life. The steps on this spiritual mountain follow irregular path symbolizing difficulties and trials, where our faith is put to test.
Rosary: The Rosary bordering the steps symbolizes Blessed virgin, accompanying us along the way.
Green pastures: Green pastures on the mountain symbolize spiritual life at the beginning of the spiritual journey. The pastures dwindle down as the spiritual journey progresses-Christ becomes our food, our drink, our Consolation, our salvation.
Heart: The heart on the top of the mountain symbolizes life. The Life which Christ gave us by sacrificing Himself on the cross. The heart is dripping with blood-the blood which He shed for us on the cross( on mount Calvary ).
The spots of blood strewn over the mountain are that of His followers.
Green twigs: The freshly green twigs sprouting from the heart indicates the freshness and Joy which Christ brings to our life. The Love of Christ invigorates our life.
Cross: The Cross symbolizes that Christ is the Truth. The Cross has a star, indicating that Christ came into this world to bring salvation, through his death on the Cross.
The green color of the Cross and the rosary is indicative of peace.
The brown boulders represents earthly life.
The beauty of this crib lie in its simplicity and the richness lies in its spiritual meaning.
P.S. Deo Gratias to my mother, my brother and my sisters for their valuable support.
